REVIVED COLONIAL BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS

BEFORE - REVIVED COLONIAL LIVING ROOM. This classic colonial had previously been remodeled in a way that wasn’t in keeping with the original character of the house. The room was asymmetric and seemed off balance.

AFTER - REVIVED COLONIAL LIVING ROOM. Our goal was to make a family friendly kitchen and family room that accessed the outdoors while still having the remodel look like it belonged in the house. We wanted a slightly more modern touch in the details. We created symmetry in the center of the room by removing and replacing the fireplace and adding lights on either side.

BEFORE - REVIVED COLONIAL KITCHEN WITH EXISTING WINDOWS. We removed all the cabinets and the wall that was dividing the entry from the kitchen and replaced and expanded the kitchen windows.

AFTER - REVIVED COLONIAL KITCHEN WITH NEW WINDOWS. The floor plan included a large island that had plenty of space to work on but also enough room for people to sit and visit. We placed the new windows over the sink counter. Bringing the windows down to the counter top brings in more light and makes an amazing difference in how a kitchen feels.

BEFORE - REVIVED COLONIAL PANTRY AND BAR. We wanted to open the pantry up more more and transform it into a fun but traditional looking luxe bar area.

AFTER - REVIVED COLONIAL PANTRY AND BAR. The cabinets are part of a navy theme throughout the house. There was an original sink that was very dark looking that we had polished and found out it was sterling silver. We added the Bindi sconces on either side of the window to accent the symmetrical design of the room.

AFTER - REVIVED COLONIAL PANTRY AND BAR. On this side where there is more storage we put antique mirrors behind the brass wire panels on the cabinet doors. There is a small shelf underneath the cabinet for glassware and the entire backsplash is paneled. We brought the counters up a little bit and brought the countertop all the way back to the window frame so that more light comes in. The large traditional ribbed glass light fixture provides ample light.

BEFORE - REVIVED COLONIAL LAUNDRY ROOM. The laundry room was dark and did not have a functional layout.

AFTER - REVIVED COLONIAL LAUNDRY ROOM. We made a sink cabinet that looks like furniture plus a cabinet with drawers on the other side of the washer and dryer. We put open shelving over tongue and groove above the cabinet and appliances. We accented with retro navy blue light fixtures to compliment the navy floor.
